Yoga Nidra
Honor the balance of light and dark with an evening of gentle movement, breath, and deep rest. This special session will begin with joints and glands exercises to open the body, followed by a breathing practice to settle the nervous system. We will then move into Yoga Nidra, a guided deep relaxation with conscious awareness.
Through this practice, you’ll be guided through the layers of the subtle body with the intention of grounding during the seasonal transition—releasing tension, calming the mind, anchoring the breath, and cultivating balance and equanimity.This practice will be especially beneficial for runners feeling depleted from an intense summer of training. This practice will help you recover and return to training with a renewed sense of energy and inspiration. Have a quiet place to practice, bring a yoga mat, blankets, and a small pillow.
